"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”

- It seems like it’s all to common to dismiss our problems and anxieties by putting them in perspective with over people’s problems and anxieties. In a time where so many people put there troubles on social networks it’s easy to find myself saying, “well I thought I had it bad, but damn X has it a lot worse, I guess I should feel a little better about my problem”. But it’s hard for me to find solace in this view. I usually end up with a mixed feeling of guiltiness, for not appreciating what I do have, and/or pity, for the person’s whose problem in 10x worse than mine. Neither of these two emotions help me in the long run.
